Government-qualified first-time home buyers flock to Dublin

Dublin is currently attracting first-time buyers looking for residential properties. According to the website Daft.ie, Dublin and the surrounding counties are the most apprised because of the availability of a bulk of new properties that are fit as per requirements for these types of buyers. The website has managed to reach this conclusion after thorough analysis. 


Property Consensus 

Daft.ie is a very popular website amongst Irish property buyers going up to 2.21 million users monthly. Through analysis, the website established that Dublin has the most properties available for sale on a national basis. It has 25 percent or 643 of all properties available. It is followed closely by Kildare which has 14 percent and Meath 13 percent while Cork came last on the list with 6 percent of properties available.

Dublin as the priority

Martin Clancy who is the relations manager of Daft.ie stated in an interview that the site has observed that the number of first-time house buyers is increasing. He also states that the searches are mostly based in Dublin. The latter being the first choice for first-time buyers as well as the one with most properties for sale. Dublin is followed by Kildare and Meath affirms Mr. Clancy.

An increase in the house hunt

Daft.ie has seen a search increase for new properties as from November. When the site compared the search results to that same interval last year, a 67% increase has been deduced.

Most favorable locations

The site concludes the location choice for first-time buyers. It takes into consideration the most searched for 5 locations. Dublin has 643 houses available while Kildare has 344. It is closely followed by Meath with 318 houses. Cork is next with 163 and lastly, Kerry has 150 houses up for sale.

Appropriate properties for first-time buyers

 

  1. Dublin: Being the first choice for first-time buyers, the capital of the country gives the opportunity to buyers to purchase properties under € 600.00. Dublin boasts of 25% existing properties.
  2. Kildare: The location is appropriate as it is a county of Dublin. Those counties most definitely have the most properties available for sale on the market nowadays. Kildare claims a 14% of the total, hence 344 properties available.
  3. Meath: Again this is another county of Dublin and also collects a large number of available properties namely 13%. Dublin, Kildare, and Meath take up 50% of the property market, that is, the majority.
  4. Cork City & County: Cork city has 6% of new properties and is considered as the favorable access to Munster counties.
  5. Kerry: Kerry has 6% of properties available, that is 163. It is higher than the number registered in Galway, Limerick and the city and counties of Waterford
